13-Day Itinerary Overview

Note: You can join the days activities or simply stay on the property and do your own thing. Enjoy the pool or hot tub, explore the 50 acre property or just rest and relax. Three meals per day on the property provided..... packed meals for the extended tours. Itinerary subject to change to account for weather, and group requests... rest assured there is plenty to see and do. Come, enjoy, make new friends and have an experience of a lifetime! The maximum amount of people in the group is 8 persons. This sample itinerary is very close to what to expect, but we reserve the right to modify to fit the group or weather conditions.

Day 1: Jan 16 – Arrival & Orientation (Relaxing Start)

• Morning/afternoon: Arrival in Puerto Jiménez, settle into your all-inclusive Jungle room.
• Late afternoon: Welcome orientation, group meet-and-greet, equipment check, and intro talk on Costa Rica photography tips.
• Evening: Relaxed dinner, sunset views from the property or nearby main beach.
• No early shoot – ease into pura vida.

Day 2: Jan 17 – Sunrise Beach Shoot + Local Exploration

• Early morning: Group sunrise photo shoot at Playa Puerto Jiménez (town beach – calm waters, estuary views, birds like herons/macaws at dawn).
• Mid-morning: Return for breakfast, then short guided walk 50 acre reserve (birding/photography –  wildlife watching).
• Afternoon: Free time to edit photos or relax by the pool/refreshments and drinks.
• Evening: Review session + dinner.

Day 3: Jan 18 – Corcovado National Park Full-Day Adventure

• Sunrise coffee and fresh fruit breakfast
• Early start: Guided tour into Corcovado Park (classic 3/4-day tour from Puerto Jiménez – hike trails, spot scarlet macaws, monkeys, tapirs, jaguar tracks).
• Focus: Wildlife & landscape photography with my pro guidance.
• Packed Lunches
• Return late afternoon; dinner and image review.

Day 4: Jan 19 – Sunrise Beach Shoot + Relaxed Birding

• Early morning: Breakfast & Sunrise shoot at local beach (nearby, quieter – great for reflections, shorebirds, soft light).
• Mid-morning/afternoon: Guided birdwatching tour in the area (Osa Peninsula is a hotspot – toucans, parrots, hummingbirds).
• Evening: Free downtime, optional night walk for bioluminescence or frogs.

Day 5: Jan 20 – Free Day #1

• Full day at leisure: Sleep in, edit photos, relax on the beach, optional independent kayak in Golfo Dulce, or personal beach time.
• Meals provided; group optional casual photo critique if desired.

Day 6: Jan 21 – Sunrise Beach Shoot + Golfo Dulce Exploration

• Early morning: Sunrise at Playa Preciosa (wide dark-sand beach, dramatic skies, fewer crowds – ideal for long exposures or silhouettes).
• Mid-morning: Beach relaxing.
• Afternoon/evening: Poolside relaxation or edit session.

Day 7: Jan 22 – Corcovado or Osa Wildlife Deep Dive

• Full day: Return to Corcovado (different trails or sector if permits allow) or nearby private reserve for more wildlife photography (focus on birds/monkeys in better light).
• Evening: Group dinner and storytelling.

Day 8: Jan 23 – Free Day #2

• Leisure day: Revisit a favorite beach, yoga, reading, or independent photography. Optional add-on like chocolate tour or waterfall hike in Matapalo.

Day 9: Jan 24 – Sunrise Beach Shoot + Cabo Matapalo Adventure

• Early morning: Sunrise shoot at local beach (surf breaks, rocky outcrops, tropical vibes – great for dynamic wave shots or wildlife along the shore).
• Afternoon: Short drive/hike to nearby areas for wildlife photography or wildlife viewing / birding.
• Evening: Review and feedback.

Day 10: Jan 25 – Free Day #3

• Open day: Rest, personal shoots, or optional activities (e.g., mangrove boat tour).

Day 11: Jan 26 – Sunrise Beach Shoot + Final Workshop Day

• Early morning: Sunrise finale at a favorite beach (group choice or Playa Puerto Jiménez for symmetry).
• Mid-morning/afternoon: Wrap-up session – portfolio reviews, your pro tips on post-processing wildlife/bird shots, Q&A.
• Evening: Celebration dinner.

Day 12: Jan 27 – Free Day #4 (Wind-Down)

• Full relaxed day: No structured activities – pool lounging, final photos, packing, or light exploration.
• Evening: Farewell gathering.

Day 13: Jan 28 – Departure

• Morning breakfast, then departures (flights from Puerto Jiménez airport to San Jose).
